Casting Procedure: 1.Forming Wax mold(wax injection):Mix liquid wax slurry and solid wax together, inject wax into metal mould, fetch it out after cooling.
.Wax mold(Replica):Repeat the previous step.
.Wax Tree Formation:Heat steel welding knife, weld the wax molds together on the gate stick.
.Precoated Wax Tree(Dipping):The wax molds are dipped into sodium silicate solution.
.Ceramic Coating:Stucco the dipped wax molds with quartz sand, then dip into induration solution containing ammonium chloride & magnesium chloride and hang to dry. The whole process repeats 6 times.
&7.Drying investment and melting wax from inside mold:Put the thick coated wax molds into heating water pool, keep heating, then lost all the wax only sand shell was left
.Heat treating ceramic mold:Heat the sand shell in order to strengthen the shell.
.Casting(Pouring):Put the raw material into the intermediate frequency furnace and melt, add as per chemical composition of material specification. After the temperature of molten steel rises to about 1600 degrees, take a pre-pouring chemical analysis, if approved then pour liquid steel into the sand shell by ladle, make sure the shell is filled with liquid steel and then cool off, meanwhile take the testing bar for after-pouring analysis.
.Removing mold from metal:Let castings free from sand by sand blasting, cut off the castings from gate stick.grind the sprue and rough surface with grinding wheel.
.Heat treatment:Heat treat castings by nomalizing, annealing, quench, tempering, to reach required hardness and mechanical property etc.
.Machining:Machining castings by CNC machine,lathe,milling machine,drilling machine,grinding machine,boring machine,planing machine,broaching machine as per drawings.
.Quality Inspection: Mechanical properties test by tension tester, impact tester, hardness tester, magnetic defect detector, ultrasonic flaw detector. Inspect dimension test by Calipers, Height Gauge, Micrometer Calipers, Inside Caliper Gauge, Angle and R Gauge, coordinates measuring instrument
.Packing&Transport:After anti-rust treatment, packing the parts by wooden box.
The detailed despcription of casting process: Casting is a manufacturing process by which a liquid material is usually poured into a mold, which contains a hollow cavity of the desired shape, and then allowed to solidify. The solidified part is also known as a casting, which is ejected or broken out of the mold to complete the process. Casting materials are usually metals or various cold setting materials that cure after mixing two or more components together; examples areepoxy, concrete, plaster and clay. Casting is most often used for making complex shapes that would be otherwise difficult or uneconomical to make by other methods.
